Welcome to the John Matson State Farm Insurance Agency!

I have been with State Farm for nearly 9 years, including 6 years as an agent, and I opened my office in 2020 to provide reliable insurance services to my Good Neighbors throughout Draper, UT and across the state. Our office is located in the Hidden Valley Professional Complex, west of C-A-L Ranch and northwest of Big O Tires, and even offers a great view of Draper. We proudly serve Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Davis County, including Draper, Sandy, South Jordan, Riverton, Bluffdale, Herriman, Lehi, West Jordan, Salt Lake City, Alpine, Highland, and surrounding communities. As a bilingual agency, we are happy to assist customers in both English and Spanish, and I am fluent in Spanish.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Actuarial Science (Statistics) and a minor in Business Management. My studies in business, finance, and statistics helped me recognize a gap in the financial knowledge many people receive, which sparked my passion for helping individuals and families better understand their options and make informed decisions about protecting what they have worked hard to build. I have been happily married for 13 years and am the proud father of four amazing daughters.

When I am not in the office, you can usually find me spending time outdoors with my family. I enjoy running, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, boating, waterskiing, and basketball. I also enjoy playing the piano and organ, as well as helping my wife with gardening and landscaping projects.
